Last Saturday, June 24th, Grupo Alves Bandeira held its indispensable annual employee meeting, the GAB SUMMIT 2024, which brought together over 400 current and former employees.

In an event filled with a lot of positive energy and emotion, it is noteworthy that this day marked the beginning of the 50th-anniversary celebrations of Grupo Alves Bandeira, a celebration that will extend through various initiatives already planned but not revealed until December 22, 2025, the date on which the group officially completes half a century of existence.

To kick off these celebrations, the chosen location could only be the town of Góis, a symbolic place where the first station was inaugurated in 1958 by the Founder Cassiano Alves Bandeira.

The event began at the headquarters of the Góis Moto Clube, a historic motorcycle club and long-time partner of Grupo Alves Bandeira, where the registration and welcome coffee took place, as well as the first two teambuilding activities scheduled for the morning. This was followed by three more team challenges held in different locations, including a canoeing competition on the river. By the end of the morning, the true spirit of teamwork and family that characterizes this proudly Portuguese Group was evident.

After the morning activities, a social lunch was quickly organized in the stunning Parque do Cerejal, followed by a charitable moment marked by the donation to the Humanitarian Association of Góis Volunteer Firefighters and the Góis Scouts, presented by the President of Grupo Alves Bandeira Rui Bandeira and the Vice-President of the Municipality of Góis Nuno Bandeira.

Throughout the afternoon, there were several musical performances that entertained not only those present at the event but also all the inhabitants and visitors who were strolling and ended up joining this great party.

Cláudio Aleixo, a collaborator of the Group, was the first to take the stage and open the performances, followed by the talented singer from Coimbra, Sara Ribeiro. To close with a flourish, there was still time to dance and sing along to the ever-spectacular and unpredictable Toy.

To conclude this memorable day, the stage was transformed into a football stadium where the entire town of Góis could join to celebrate Portugal's victory over Turkey by 3-0, making the GAB SUMMIT 2024 a truly unforgettable event.
